Zuidberg Rollercoasters: Development ledgers new rollercoaster “Untamed”

Zuidberg Staalservice delivers her semi-manufactured products to clients across multiple sectors, like agriculture, infrastructure and garbage disposal. Since last year we can add theme parks to our clientbase.

Robin Hood becomes Untamed

Walibi Holland is one of the major themeparks in the Netherlands with the biggest array of unique and exciting rollercoaster tracks. The newest addition, the Untamed, is replacing the eighteen-year old, wooden Robin Hood.

Walibi explains that this rollercoast is unique because of its “hybrid” construction” that uses a wooden construction to support a steel railtrack. Not only will it go faster as compared to its predecessor, the Untamed also introduces a looping and has the most steepest fall in the whole theme park.

Zuidberg Staalservice

Zuidberg produces and delivers the ledgers that support the steel railtrack. While this is a new and exciting project, the product and its processing are very familiar to Zuidberg. Zuidberg develops the product from steel sheets by cutting, bending and galvanization.

Because the rail track has multiple corners that are placed at an angle, not every ledger is the same shape. Zuidberg provides the ledgers with an unique code. This makes it easy for positioning during the construction of the rollercoaster.
