Multifunctional tool carrier MultiTec with Zuidberg gearbox

Because of its universal applicability, Zuidberg’s PTO’s are being applied to an ever increasing range of vehicles.

A great example of this is the multifunctional tool carrier from the Germany-based company Niko Maschinen-und Fahrzeugbau, a manufacturer of specialized vehicles for viticulture, fruit-growing, horticulture and industry.

The unique 18 HP MultiTec multifunctional tool carrier is a remote controlled vehicle which is suited for almost every job. The machine is only 80 cm (31,2 inch) wide and weighs 550 kilogram (1200 lb.) Over 30 different attachments are available for the tool carrier. The attachments are being supplied by the company Lipco GmbH, who is also responsible for the sales of the MutiTec toolcarrier.

Zuidberg Transmissions supplies the compact QD gearbox for the MultiTec. The QD gearbox is switchable under load and features an integrated oil pump for the oil supply. The multidisc wet clutch is switched on by a proportional valve that is integrated in the pump. This way, the clutch engages smoothly in every situation.

The advantage is that the customer has a very reliable PTO system, without the need for external hydraulics. Next to that, the Zuidberg gearbox lowers the drivetrain to the optimal height for the attachment and offers the correct speed to the attachment.
