A front PTO on your tractor allows you to combine two implements in a single pass. This saves both time and fuel while reducing soil compaction due to fewer field passes. Zuidberg takes it a step further with the ECO front PTO. By lowering the engine speed without compromising the performance of the front-mounted implement, you gain even greater efficiency.
Save not only on fuel but also on labor costs. Plus, this PTO operates whisper-quiet, allowing you to enjoy a calm and efficient working environment.
Fuel efficiency is a top priority in the agricultural sector, both for cost savings and sustainability. A front PTO on a tractor enables the simultaneous use of two implements, saving time and fuel while reducing soil compaction.
In our product selector, you can easily identify the specific ECO PTO by the "E" following the RPM indicator.
With quick installation, easy attachment of implements, and the ability to combine two machines in a single pass, you save time and work more efficiently from your tractor.
Looking to save fuel? By reducing engine RPM without losing power and combining two implements in one operation, you can save up to 10% on fuel consumption.
The Zuidberg ECO PTO delivers reduced noise levels thanks to lower engine speeds. This enhances driver comfort, creating a quieter and more pleasant working environment.
The Zuidberg front PTO features a wet multi-plate clutch with proportionally adjustable engagement. This ensures smooth implement activation, enhancing operational comfort and ease.
Jan de Vries, from De Vries Stolwijk BV, has equipped five Valtra tractors with Zuidberg’s ECO front PTO. This system allows the tractor to deliver the desired 1,000 PTO revolutions at a significantly lower engine RPM. As a result, De Vries saves approximately 5 liters of fuel per operating hour and benefits from noticeable noise reduction.
"The cabin is much quieter, and the team notices the difference right away."
De Vries aims to maximize the advantages of the ECO PTO by performing as many combined tasks as possible. In addition to a mowing combination, he highlights the use of the rotary tiller and spader combination. “Of course, we also use the front lift for the sweeper, front weights, and the reel for drag hoses, but the benefits of the ECO PTO are less apparent in those cases.”
By adjusting the gear ratio in the PTO, the input shaft can operate at a lower speed while still delivering 1,000 RPM to the implement. In simple terms, the engine speed can be reduced without compromising the performance of the front-mounted implement.
In practice, this results in fuel savings of up to 10%.
Zuidberg's ECO PTO aligns perfectly with the latest trends in tractor technology. Modern engines often deliver maximum torque at lower RPMs. While older engines reached peak power at around 2,000 RPM, today’s engines achieve it at 1,700 to 1,750 RPM.
Lower engine speeds also result in reduced cabin noise, significantly enhancing driver comfort.
